Family Fun at Mardi Gras
Professor Carl Nivale's Family -Friendly Seal of ApprovalMardi Gras is a great time for children and families to visit the Crescent City and enjoy a marvelous time together!  There are lots of Carnival activities around the city to keep kids and adults well-entertained; the trick is finding them.  Though Jefferson Parish has laid claim to the title of capital of family-friendly Carnival, Orleans, St. Bernard, and the surrounding parishes also offer great memories the entire family can enjoy, from the youngest to the oldest!  Your humble Professor is happy to supply you with these listing of events that have earned the Prof. Carl Nivale Family-Friendly Seal of Approval.
The fun never stops for families at Mardi Gras. Photo by Edward R. CoxIn the coming months, we will be posting family events as they are scheduled.  If you have a Carnival-related event that happens at any time during the year, please e-mail the Professor Here to have your event listed with us.

KREWE OF ZEUS GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY PARADE
Your humble Professor highly recommends this one-time Carnival event in Jefferson Parish, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jefferson Parish's oldest and most venerated krewe.  Look for their first 15 floats from 1957 ridden by 150 of the original krewe members!   ALL THROWS ARE COLLECTIBLE AT THIS EVENT!  Original member Ep Tusa reigns as the anniversary regent, with Queen Michelle Mcintyre.  Calling the parade is none other than "The Voice of Zeus", the delightfully spartan Dave Mulnick!
WHERE:  Along Zeus's original parade route down Metairie Road.
WHEN:  7pm, beginning at 1901 Severn Ave. (near Archbishop Rummel)
