|
This
delightful krewe was organized in 1996 under the best traditions of
Mardi Gras: to provide its members and their families with a
year-in, year-out venue for wholesome family entertainment and
community service, culminating
in a grand ball and a beautiful street parade. It is also one of the
growing number of krewes stepping outside of the traditional pantheon
of ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythos for their inspiration.
This krewe shares a theme of romantic gods
with Aphrodite,
Adonis, Endymion, Muses, and Pygmalion. |
This
krewe was stopped from marching in the 149th Carnival
celebrations
by Hurricane Katrina. The krewe shares that bond with
Adonis,
Aphrodite, Arabi,
Atlas, Bards, Choctaw,
Cleopatra,
Gladiators, Grela, Hermes, L'il
Rascals,
Mercury, NOMTOC,
Pegasus,
Pontchartrain, Saturn, du Vieux, and Crescent City. |
