The Corps de Napoleon
 Krewe organized in 1980

Emperor, Empress, maids
Look for the special cups thrown by the royalty and the maids, as well as medallion beads.
This krewe attracts the best bands from out-of-state.
Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France, sold the Louisiana Territory to the United States, establishing American occupation of the city and providing this Metairie krewe with a treasure trove of inspiration.  Well-noted for the exceptional quality of their parades,  the procession is led by the Captaine de Corps , and features horse-drawn carriages for the maids, and horse-drawn floats of the emperor, empress, and captain.  The court is traditionally attired in some of the most stunning costumes of the season.  In addition to the crowd-favorite the Confetti Cannon, the Corps also hosts a band constest, awarding the winner $1,000.
This krewe shares the name of a legendary ruler. This krewe shares a theme of historical rulers with the krewes of Caesar, Cleopatra, and King Arthur.
