This krewe is one of
only four parading organizations in St. Bernard Parish, including
the krewes of Arabi, Aphrodite, and Nemesis

Formed
in 1973, this traditionally all-male krewe officially opens the St.
Bernard Parish parade season. Originally formed by St. Bernard
professionals and businessmen, the krewe takes its name from the
Roman warriors, fabled in story and song for the bravery and strength.
Each year, in addition to their Grand Marshall and Empress, the
gentlemen of Gladiators choose a sporting figure to be honored as their
Caesar.
