and is sponsored by Eagle's Nest, Inc.

Taking the Latin word for eagle, this popular Metairie krewe boasts some of the most beautiful court costumes in Mardi Gras.  Since its inception, Aquila has grown to feature 10 double-decker floats by Blaine Kern, the Zapp's Calliope Fire Truck, and Al Copeland's boat float.  So proud are the Aquilans of their annual tableau ball that they will restage it again later in the year for visitors to the city.
