Aphrodite's
legend is sketchy. The Greek word for "foam" is 'aphros' which
leads some to believe that she was created from sea foam.
However, Homer names Aphrodite in his "Iliad" as
being the daughter of Dione and Zeus.
This krewe is one of
only four parading organizations in St. Bernard Parish, including
the krewes of Arabi, Gladiators , and Nemesis.
